Rodney Lawson

Rodney Lawson is a business owner, husband, father of two, and grandfather of three. His faith journey began when his grandmother first took him to church at the age of three. Adopted at birth, Rodney understands the struggle to find a sense of belonging and discover where we fit in.

A graduate of Baylor University, Rodney married his college sweetheart, a preacher's daughter, and they have now shared 33 years of marriage. His own walk with God has included both mountaintop moments and seasons of uncertainty. Through those experiences, he has learned that faith is not about perfection, but about continuing to seek Jesus and allowing Him to work in our lives.

Through The Back Porch Faith Journal 2027, Rodney hopes to encourage readers to slow down, explore Scripture, reflect honestly, and grow closer to God one day at a time.
